It’s another day, another territory for going broadcast concern KidsCo, which has just launched its service into Spain in partnership with local cable operator Teuve and plans to be available as a VOD offering in the country later this year.

In line with Kidco’s MO to date, programming on its Spanish feed will draw heavily from the libraries of joint-venture partners DIC and Corus, including preschool fare like Strawberry Shortcake, Maggie and the Ferocious Beast and Care Bears, as well as older-skewing fare such as Inspector Gadget and Sonic the Hedgehog.

KidsCo’s move into Spain represents the first phase of a planned rollout across Western Europe in an effort to be operating in 40 territories within the next 18 months. So far, the channel is up and running in Romania, the Ukraine, the Middle East, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong and countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
