L.A.-based PorchLight Home Entertainment has acquired the US DVD distribution rights to Animalia.
Produced by Animalia Productions, in association with PorchLight Entertainment, Animalia is based on the picture book by Graeme Base.
The series currently airs on Animania HD, PBS, the BBC and CBC in Canada.
The first DVD, Animalia: Welcome to the Kingdom, includes the four eps from the series and will street on September 23. Regular DVDs have an SRP of US$16.98, while Blu-ray discs should retail for US$29.98.
