PorchLight Entertainment has tapped Shea Fontana as its new manager of children’s programming.

Fontana’s responsibilities will include developing preschool and girls programming. She’s moved up the ranks quite quickly since joining PorchLight as an assistant in 2006.

During most of 2007, she served as production coordinator and ADR voice director on 40 half-hour eps of Animalia.

In addition to her experience at PorchLight, Fontana’s produced a short film adaptation of comic book DEAD@17, written for American Greetings’ Sushi Pack and produced for The Jim Henson Company, where she worked with the innovative Henson digital puppetry animation system.
