• Cardiff-based animation house Calon has won two Best Animation awards in the last two weeks. Preschool series Hana’s Helpline received nods at the Celtic Film Festival in Galway and at the Welsh BAFTA’s.
• Indie rock sensation The Shins (aka the band that occupied much of the Garden State soundtrack and underscored Zach Braff’s melancholy) is kicking it preschool on a new Yo Gabba Gabba! ep premiering Friday, May 23 on Nick Jr. in the US.
