To mark Deaf Awareness Week in the UK, CITV is dedicating a weekend of programming to deaf viewers. All show airing between 1:30 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 will be accompanied by sign language.

The special block includes preschool programs Engie Benjy, Paz, Tractor Tom and Curious George, as well older-skewing series Sooty Heights, Feodor, Horrid Henry, Jungle Run and My Parents Are Aliens .

Sign language experts at ITV SignPost – the company’s specialist access services business – will translate the shows into British Sign Language (BSL).

The theme of this year’s campaign, Look At Me, is designed to highlight the different ways deaf people communicate, such as sign language and lip reading.
