EA readies new Potter game

Electronic Arts’ Casual Entertainment label and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are readying a new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game slated to launch in tandem with the upcoming film’s release this November.

Players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive his sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor quidditch team to victory.

Under development by EA Bright Light Studio, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be available for Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Windows PC and Macintosh platforms as well as mobile devices.
