ER tallies up MIP sales

London-based Entertainment Rights is taking a deep breath after a successful MIPTV, having scored multiple sales for the brand-new BBC commission Postman Pat - Special Delivery Service.

London-based Entertainment Rights is taking a deep breath after a successful MIPTV, having scored multiple sales for the brand-new BBC commission Postman Pat – Special Delivery Service.

Brodcasters in Denmark, Sweden, Australia, Middle East and Iceland picked up the series set to bow on CBeebies in the fall. Acquisition Toopy and Binoo, which currently airs in Canada on Treehouse and Cartoon Network in Latin America, also made headway with a sale to free-TV channels in the Middle East and a net deal in Korea.

New toon George of the Jungle, which launched in the UK on Nickelodeon last fall and on Cartoon Network in the US in January has been sold to a long list of territories, including Norway (NRK), Russia (Central Partnership), Scandinavia (Pan Regionally via Nickelodeon), Belgium (VRT), Finland (VRT), Netherlands (Netherlands Public Broadcasting), Ireland (RTE), Denmark (TV2) and Iceland (RUV).

And finally, Casper’s Scare School, currently in production for TF1 France and Cartoon Network Europe, was successfully sold to Jetix (Netherlands), DR.TV (Denmark), MYV 3 (Finland), NRK (Norway) and Cartoon Network (Middle East).
