Marvel Entertainment’s Spider-Man is about to extend his web reach in children’s publishing through a new licensing deal with HarperCollins Children’s Book.

For the first time, titles centering around the webbed one will be available in each major kids reading category. HarperCollins’ new, extensive Spider-Man classic publishing program will cover different formats for all age groups, including story books, readers and chapter books, a phonics box and novelty gatefold items.

The initial line of titles will be available through mass and trade retail outlets beginning in fall 2008.
