Three studios win Cartoons on the Bay top kids prize

Rai Trade's Television Animation Festival just wrapped up in Positano, Italy over the weekend, and a handful of kids entertainment players walked away with coveted Pulcinella Awards for stand-out work this past year.

Rai Trade’s Television Animation Festival just wrapped up in Positano, Italy over the weekend, and a handful of kids entertainment players walked away with coveted Pulcinella Awards for stand-out work this past year. Nelvana (My Friend Rabbit), MacKinnon & Saunders (Frankenstein’s Cat) and Rai Fiction (Me, Myself and the Others) split the honors for Best TV Series for Children, while Walt Disney Television Animation scored a Best Script nod for My Friends Tigger and Pooh.

Other winners included Nickelodeon’s Tak and the Power of Juju (Best Music Score), Film Bilder’s The Bunjies (Best European Series) and The Illuminated Film Company’s Buddy and Elvis (Best Pilot of a Series).
