• Munich, Germany-based brand management and media company m4e reported revenues of US$21.6 million in the fiscal year of 2007, exceeding the board’s expectations with a net profit of US$1.4 million. The 2007 Annual Report is currently being prepared based on the audited figures and will be available to download at www.m4e.de from the end of April 2008.
• UK-based Kinnerton Confectionery has signed a number of snew licences for Christmas 2008, including Numberjacks, Ben 10 and The Mr. Men Show with updated Mr. Men and Little Miss characters. The newcomers are all set to join Kinnerton’s existing of portfolio of evergreen licences, which include The Simpsons, Thomas the Tank Engine, Spider-Man, Barbie and Winnie the Pooh.
• Nickelodeon‘s year-long Kids Pick the President campaign continues this month with Nick News with Linda Ellerbee: Election Issues ’08, the second of four specials, premiering Sunday, April 13, at 9:00 p.m. In this special, kids speak out on the campaign issues that affect their lives, including the war in Iraq, terrorism, the economy, education, the environment, healthcare and immigration.
• ZDF Enterprises has sold live-action series H20 – Just Add Water to France 2, RAI Sat (Italy), VRAK.TV (Canada) and Antena 3 and Universal Pictures in Spain. Additionally, RAI Sat (Italy) and RTV in Slovenia have snapped up Lost Treasure of Fiji, produced by Jonathan M. Shiff, while preschool series Martin Morning will soon be seen in Poland on SDT Film and in Spain and Portugal on Motion Pictures.
