HIT Entertainment is taking its Angelina Ballerina into CGI Animation with co-pro partners Thirteen/WNET New York and Nick Jr. UK.

The new series Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps will be produced by SD Entertainment and executive producer Karen Barnes from HIT Entertainment.

The series is based on the publishing property, but will introduce the tiny dancer’s new home on the other side of Chipping Cheddar and a new performing arts school, Camembert. Check out KidScreen‘s exclusive look at the revamp in our April issue.

Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps, is slated for a Fall 2009 premiere as a weekly series on PBS KIDS in the US and Nick Jr. in the UK. The new series has been packaged into two formats: 40 x half hours for PBS and 80 x 12-minutes for Nick Jr UK.
