London’s Parthenon Entertainment has sold Roman Mysteries to US HD broadcaster Rainbow Media for its Family Room channel, landing additional sales to Spain’s Cuatro and Ki.Ka in Germany.

The Beeb’s largest-ever children’s drama commission, produced by The Little Entertainment Group, is about four young friends’ adventures during Roman times.

Season one of Roman Mysteries (10 x 30 minutes) garnered consistently high ratings when it aired on BBC1 and CBBC earlier this year. Season two will air on the BBC in summer 2008.
