• Saskatoon, Canada-based Cheshire Smile Animation Inc. and DHX Media subsid Studio B Productions Inc. are starting production on animated special The Side Show Christmas, which tells the tale of a freaky side show facing foreclosure on Christmas Day and which will air on Teletoon Canada this holiday season.
• Thirteen new half-hour episodes of high-def CGI science series The Zula Patrol will launch on US public television in June 2008. Season three features topics such as life cycles, ecosystems and the solar system and is produced by Zula USA, LLC.
• Season four of Shaftesbury Films‘ Life With Derek has been picked up by Boomerang (UK), Disney Channel (Germany, Italy, Latin America) and Noga (Israel), with France 2 (France) and VRAK.TV (French Canada) buying the third season, and MediaCorp TV12 Kids Central in Singapore grabbing the first two seasons.
