Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Entertainment has locked in a commission from Canadian kidcaster YTV for 13 eps of live-actioner Survivorman Kids (working title).

In October, the company announced its deal with wilderness survival expert and filmmaker Les Stroud to jointly develop a live-action series for kids inspired by his Discovery Channel and OLN reality series Survivorman.

Survivorman Kids will take a team of six 14- to 16-year-olds into the wilderness for three weeks, with Les Stroud serving as their mentor and survivor skill judge.

No word yet on when the show might hit the airwaves.
