Disney EMEA continues to realign

In the continuing effort to realign its channel and program distribution teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Disney has made four key appointments.

In the continuing effort to realign its channel and program distribution teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Disney has made four key appointments.

Catherine Powell has been named the SVP of program distribution, EMEA (North); Francesca Tauriello is now SVP of program distribution, EMEA (South); Maria Kyriacou steps into the role of SVP of new media distribution, EMEA and Canada; and Adam Tow takes the title, VP of business and legal affairs EMEA and Canada.

Simultaneously, Simon Taylor, Disney-ABC International Television’s current VP of business and legal affairs since 2006, will now become VP of business and legal affairs, Disney Channels EMEA.

Disney and its subsidiaries currently have 24 Disney-branded Channels and eight ESPN channels in EMEA. The company’s Program Distribution division manages the pay-TV, free-TV, pay-per-view and new media distribution of feature films and TV content, including films from Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures and network series from ABC.
