• Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Entertainment is toting new completed episodes (10 x 11 minutes/5 x 22 minutes) of its animated comedy Best Ed to MIPTV. The 9 Story original production for Teletoon Canada is set to debut on the net in September 2008.

• In celebration of Earth Day, Disney Channel US's Playhouse Disney will be going green with environment-themed episodes of series, including a new episode of Handy Manny, and Earth Day tips for preschoolers. On Tuesday, April 22 (6:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET/PT) Playhouse Disney's hosts, monkey puppets Ooh and Aah, will don The Green Team moniker and will show young viewers how they can help keep the Earth clean and healthy.

• DVD sales of preschool cartoon Peppa Pig have passed the one million mark in the UK, according to Contender Entertainment Group (CEG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Entertainment One. To capitalize on the momentum, CEG released Peppa's The Balloon Ride on the March 17 2008, featuring a further 10 episodes from series two.
