Disney Channels EMEA is set to premiere new European long-form production Famous Five: On the Case in the UK on May 5.

Featuring the children at the center of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five book series, the toon from Disney Channel’s London-based Global Original Programming hub and has been co-produced with brand-owner Chorion and French studio Marathon.

The new series remains faithful to the themes of the storytelling, mystery and adventure that run through the original books.

Disney is inviting young would-be novelists to write their own Famous Five: On the Case adventure stories as well. Entries will be judged on their creativity, originality and success in capturing the spirit of the property.

The winning story, chosen by a panel of judges, will be produced as a limited-edition book and audio podcast by Hodder.
