Imira inks deal pre-MIP

Barcelona, Spain-based Imira Entertainment has sealed a number of broadcast deals heading into MIPTV taking place next month.

Cartoon Network Spain has picked up the first season of Iconix’s 52 x seven-minute preschool series Pororo and ZDF Enterprises’ 52 x 26-minute Wicked Science, a live-action drama for eight to 12 year olds.

Also in Spain, Catalonian broadcaster TV3 picked up 52 x 11-minuter 64 Zoo Lane and 52 x five minute Lazy Lucy, while Portugal’s RTP has purchased Millimages’ 26 x 13-minute Hydronauts, 39 x 26-minute Pitt & Kantrop and Stranemani’s Rat Man.

Imira is also extending its Latin American presence with Colombia public broadcaster RTVC acquiring 104 x two-minute Vitaminix, Millimages’ 52 x five minute Pablo the Little Red Fox, Skyland from Method Films and Millimages, as well as Telescreen’s Miffy The Classics and Miffy and Friends.
