HarperCollins Children’s Book is going decidedly high-tech for its latest publishing campaign. Digital effort Read It Before You See It is rolling out in support of the May 16 theatrical launch of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

HarperCollins has partnered with Special Ops Media to bring the fabled C.S. Lewis Narnia book series to Web 2.0 applications, including Facebook, Neopets and MySpace.

The campaign includes Caspian digital assets to be released to various online portals as well as the development of a microsite at www.harpercollinschildrens.com/narnia that will feature sweepstakes, games, and other promotional activities.

In 2005, the first movie in the series from Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media grossed more than US$750 million worldwide.
