Los Angeles, California-based MarVista Entertainment has acquired two new children’s properties for the international television and DVD market.

Preschool-skewing BJ’s Teddy Bear Club and Bible Stories currently airs on the 24/7 US digital cable networks I-Life TV, INSP and INI.

Additionally, the distributor has picked up The Hidden Treasure of Wompkee Wood, the second CGI-animated one-hour feature all about the fuzzy elfin characters.

The original feature aired in the US on Starz and has since been released in more than 40 countries worldwide. In Latin America, DVD Distributor Tycoon sold more than 70,000 units. Red Sky Entertainment is developing a US consumer products licensing program to coincide with the debut of the new movie in Fall 2008.
