ITV Worldwide has announced plans to merge its exploitation, merchandise and licensing divisions into one unified business.

If the proposal moves forward, Granada International and Granada Ventures will merge later this spring into a single entity. The unified business would continue to be led by Peter Iacono, who recently joined ITV from Sony Pictures US.

The proposed restructure would create a unified business team and distinguish ITV from other global distributors by creating the new position of commercial brand director, ITV Worldwide.

MD of Granada International Nadine Nohr announced her departure earlier this week, and ITV is currently in consultation with other impacted members of the staff.
