Turner Media Innovations (TMi) has inked a media consultancy deal with Toronto, Canada-based toyco Spin Master to promote its Storm Hawks line, slated to debut at UK retail outlets this month.

The deal incorporates on-air, online, interactive and in-store promotions for the brand, along with a promo at toy chain Toys ‘R’ Us.

The toy retailer is sponsoring a specially created website and will also have branded sponsorship credits featured around new Storm Hawks eps airing on Cartoon Network UK starting this month.

Additional activity will include a TV game, a marketing mail-out and a network competition to win a trolley dash at a Toys ‘R’ Us store.

TMi has created a 30-second spot, a 20-second web-driver spot and a 30-second retail-driver spot, which will air in rotation on the net.

Storm Hawks is a CGI comedy-action adventure series from Vancouver, Canada-based Nerd Corps.

The series is set in a fantastical world, where squadrons of high-flying Sky Knights battle to protect their air turf. Five mismatched teens – Aerrow, Finn, Piper, Junko and Stork – armed with transforming flying motorcycles, take on some of the nastiest villains ever to hit the skies.
