Gromit, half of UK-based Aardman Animations’ Oscar-winning duo Wallace and Gromit, will be the new face of the Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Scheme, the largest dog training program in the UK.

The Good Citizen Dog Scheme promotes responsible dog ownership through a training program, where both dogs and owners take part. Nearly 200,000 dogs have now passed through the program.

To celebrate the partnership, Aardman will introduce a new line of co-branded merchandise, mugs, fridge magnets, key rings and apparel. More merchandise, including co-branded dog accessories, will be available later this year.

Currently, Wallace and Gromit are set to take to the small screen once again in A Matter of Loaf and Death. The half-hour TV special for BBC One is currently in production at Aardman’s Bristol studios and should be ready for delivery this fall.
