L.A.-based Dr. Seuss Enterprises and kidthing, a web 2.0 global learning platform for children, parents and teachers, have inked a content distribution partnership to bring enhanced digital versions of Seuss classics to the kidthing platform.

In addition to all Seuss titles, a line of interactive learning activities and games will be created utilizing kidthing’s proprietary technologies.

Classic books, including The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who!, Horton Hatches the Egg and Green Eggs and Ham will be available in kidthing’s online store in March with additional titles to follow.

Products at kidthing are sold on an à la carte basis, and once purchased are downloaded to kidthing’s free, digital media player.

Throughout March, a special digital read-along version of Horton Hears a Who! is being provided free to teachers and classrooms across the country as part of the National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America program (www.nea.org/readacross), which also coincides with the release of the CGI film that month . Then, in April, kidthing will bring Seuss’s cautionary tale The Lorax to life in conjunction the NEA for Earth Day.
