The UK licensing community is rallying once again for The Maltese Island Swim for charity.

The seven-day trip, including five days of swimming and two days of travel is set to take place May 17 through 23 around Gozo, Comino and Malta islands and will raise money for The Light Fund, the official charity of the UK licensing industry.

The fundraising event was recently bolstered by a drinks reception hosted by TPS, Licensing Sourcebook and BBC Worldwide at the recent International Spring Fair in Birmingham, where licensing execs Stephen Gould, Ian Downes, Rob Corney, Jane Kennedy and Cassie Allen all donned costumes and robes to conduct a round of collections for the charitable venture.

As well, the event has scored a wide-range of sponsorships from major UK companies, including beermaker Guinness, that plan to supply the entire 16-member swim team with equipment required for the swim.
