People moves: Disney names new SVP

As part of Disney's realignment and restructure of its distribution business, Simon Amselem has been appointed SVP of channel distribution for EMEA.

As part of Disney’s realignment and restructure of its distribution business, Simon Amselem has been appointed SVP of channel distribution for EMEA.

Amselem will oversee distribution for Disney’s channel brands in the region, including Disney Channel and ESPN.

Amselem is currently SVP and MD at Disney Channel France, and in his new role he will lead the integrated channel distribution team to maximize the revenue of Disney’s channels in the region. He will be responsible for the deal negotiations, distribution strategy and leading the company’s relationships with distribution platforms in the region.

Amselem will be based in London and starts on April 1.
