HIT keeps Thomas on track

It's full steam ahead for HIT Entertainment's Thomas the Tank Engine with the release of a new DVD and its first-ever in-house-produced line for preschoolers.

It’s full steam ahead for HIT Entertainment’s Thomas the Tank Engine with the release of a new DVD and its first-ever in-house-produced line for preschoolers.

The forthcoming feature-length DVD The Great Discovery will hit retails shelves on September 9, and is the first release to be narrated by Pierce Brosnan, who will also lend his voice to the new PBS series launching in September.

Toy partners, Learning Curve and HIT Toy as well as publishing licensee Random House will be supporting this title with all-new tie-in products to be released in advance of the DVD.

As well, HIT Toyco has unveiled its first-ever line of Thomas & Friends consumer products at this week’s Toy Fair in New York City. The line of remote-controlled trains and electronics will hit retail this fall.
