Woodland Hills, California-based Showcase Entertainment is launching its new children’s label Showcase for Kids at KidScreen Summit, which kicked off this morning in New York.

Showcase Entertainment, an international film and television sales company, co-produced three seasons of the hit tween kids adventure series Flight 29 Down with Discovery Kids and Hawaii Film Partners and is now looking to finance more productions in conjunction with HFP. As such, the company will be scouring the Summit for international co-pros opportunities.

Already on deck is Ape Escape (38 x two-minutes), a comedic short-form toon series based on a Sony PlayStation property. Fred Seibert’s Frederator Studios and HFP have put the series into production, which is slated to begin airing on Nicktoons later this year.
