Burbank, California-based DIC Entertainment has launched an online video channel dedicated to new and classic toons for families and kids.

Found at www.kewlcartoons.com, the site features on-demand streaming animated television series 24/7 culled from DIC’s library of more than 3,000 half-hours of programming, including Dino Squad, Inspector Gadget, The Littles and live actioner Cake.

The site also has a Kewl-branded chat app, as well as games and puzzles and easy navigation to a host of DIC IP websites. Concurrent with the new hub, DIC will launch new websites for some of its most successful properties including Inspector Gadget and Eloise.

Helming the venture, is Frederic Soulie, DIC’s newly named head of interactive. Soulie previously served as the company’s senior director of corporate and strategic planning and prior to joining DIC, he was manager of strategic planning at Intermix Media, the publicly traded parent company of MySpace
