Legendary hit-maker and Worldwide Biggies Founder and CEO Albie Hecht will be sitting down with E! Entertainment film critic Ben Lyons to talk about the shifting kids media landscape for the keynote address at the 9th annual KidScreen Summit taking place next week in New York – the first address in a new Q&A series at the event.

Scheduled on Wednesday, February 13 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30p.m., and leading into the event’s opening night cocktail party, Hecht will discuss the evolution of kids media consumption, multiplatform maneuvering, indie advantages, how to spot talent and much, much more. It’s truly an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the mastermind behind successes such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, The Naked Brothers Band and Oscar-nominated documentary War/Dance.

This Q&A led by Lyons, marks the first in a new series at the Summit. Several more outstanding sessions will take place during the conference, including legendary US television journalist David Hartman talking to Little Airplane president Josh Selig about what it takes to stay true to your creative vision; Sesame Workshop CEO Gary Knell discussing his experiences in heading up the Joint Task Force on Media and Childhood Obesity; CBeebies controller Michael Carrington talking about the ins and outs of the channel’s recent makeover; and Dr. Warren Buckleitner will go over strategies for transitioning linear TV properties to the online and interactive product space that engage kids and don’t enrage parents.

Currently there are more than 1,300 attendees expected to attend KidScreen Summit, but registration is still open. For details check out www.kidscreensummit.com.
