UK import Peppa Pig, which features the snorty adventures of a close-knit porcine family, has found a home in the US on 24/7 preschool net Noggin.

The net has acquired US broadcasts rights from London-based Entertainment One for the first 52 eps of the toon, with an option to pick up future seasons and one-off specials.

With more than 100 eps, the series has inked broadcast deals in some 160 territories worldwide and premiered in the UK on Five in June 2004.

The brand currently generates upwards of US$40 million in retail sales per year in the UK, and has a roster of more than 35 licensees in the territory, including toy, publishing, apparel, footwear, accessories, outdoor toys, games and DVDs.
