L.A.-based THQ has appointed two execs to newly created product development positions in an effort to drive the creation of original IP at the company's video game studios.

L.A.-based THQ has appointed two execs to newly created product development positions in an effort to drive the creation of original IP at the company’s video game studios.

Danny Bilson has been named VP of creative development, worldwide studios. Bilson has moved over from giant Electronic Arts, where he worked as CP of IP development and creative director and played a key creative role in crafting The Sims, Medal of Honor and Harry Potter franchises.

Stepping in as VP of production, worldwide studios is Roy Tessler who joined THQ five years ago as general manager and co-founder of the company’s Australian studio. During his three years there, the studio grew to employ 70 staff.
