Dublin, Ireland-based animation studio Brown Bag Films is in expansion mode and has just opened up a Canadian office.

Former VP of the kids division at Alliance Atlantis Alan Gregg will head up the new operation based in Toronto as VP of international production.

A vet of the children’s business in Canada, Gregg joined Alliance Atlantis from tooncaster YTV in early 2000, and has worked on various kids properties, including Henry’s World, Dragon Booster and Lunar Jim

At Brown Bag, Gregg will oversee the expansion of the development slate for TV and feature films, concentrating on preschool, family and tween-skewing projects. He’ll be reporting directly to MD Cathal Gaffney.

Established in 1994, Brown Bag has produced kids series, including Crap Rap for RTE and currently working on Wobbyland for Nickelodeon UK and HIT Entertainment.
