Fifi roots in Canada

HIT Entertainment, North American licensing rep for Chapman Entertainment’s girl-skewing preschool property Fifi and the Flowertots, has struck a series of broadcast and merch deals that will see Fifi planted in Canadian soil.
To start, Fifi goes to strip, Monday through Friday, on 24/7 preschool net Treehouse, owned by Corus Entertainment, on February 25. The series will also get prime positioning on treehousetv.com.
Following up TV placement, is new Canadian master toy licensee Danawares. Under the multi-year deal, the toyco will develop, manufacture and market a full line of Fifi playthings. An introductory line will roll out this fall and include playsets, plush, puzzles, games and role-play items.
At the same time, new apparel licensee ironically named One of the Boys will launch a full line of Fifi apparel, including sportswear, long and short-sleeved shirts and sets, sweatshirts, sweaters for preschoolers. Finally Adorable Kids Sleepwear has been tapped to design and market Fifi pyjamas and loungewear and the goods should roll out in fall 2008.
