London-based 4Kids Entertainment International’s Monster Jam is getting ready to roar across the UK L& M scene with a bevy of new merch deals.

Trading in one set of wheels for another, Universal Cycles has picked up the wheeled toy license for UK and Eire for the property, and will be producing bicycles, tricycles, scooters, skateboards and skates sporting stars of the monster truck circuit. The company is also launching a range of accessories, including helmets, elbow pads, knee pads and water bottles.

Also joining the Monster Jam roster is Aykroyds TDP (nightwear and underwear), Pyramid Posters (posters, wall calendars, stickers badges and postcards) and DNC (lunch bags and sports bottles).

And to kick the whole licensing program off, Upper Deck is releasing a Monster Jam version of its Yo! trading cards in February 2008. The cards will launch UK-wide via an exclusive to mass-market retailer Woolworths and will be supported by a print and TV campaign, online activity, competitions in kids’ magazines and in-store demos.
