Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Entertainment is dipping its toe into direct-to-video feature animation waters with the acquisition of film rights to Joan Clark’s book, The Hand of Robin Squires.
9 Story is working with long-time children’s industry veteran Peter Moss to develop the coming-of-age tale about a boy who sets out to uncover a century’s worth of secrets and find a pirates’ treasure into a full-length animated feature.
The prodco is expected to start preproduction on the project in the coming weeks.
