Nickelodeon UK has teamed up with adventurer and environmentalist David de Rothschild to help launch Nick’s Big Green Thing, the network’s first-ever multimedia environmental initiative.

During the week of February 25, Nickelodeon UK will air programming that directly promotes greater awareness of the small things that can make a big green difference and will kick off the network’s climate change campaign.

A two-part Nick News special dubbed Nick’s Big Green Challenge, hosted by de Rothschild, is the centerpiece of Nick’s Big Green Thing week.

Along with the broadcast of factual short films on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr., the content will get a spot on its own URL, www.nick.co.uk/greenie.
