• Toronto, Canada-based Nelvana Enterprises’ bunny property Max & Ruby is making a big leap this year with a new book series being published by Canada’s Key Porter Books. Ten new titles based on eps of the animated series have started rolling out at national bookseller Chapters/Indigo, and Max & Ruby Ty Beanie Babies will be featured alongside the books.
• UK-based Abbey Home Media Group has secured DVD distribution for CBBC/CBeebies series Wide Eye in Germay, Austria, Switzerland and Russia. Mondo Entertainment will be looking after German territories, while Masterdisc takes care of the Russian rollout.
• Toronto, Canada-based CCI Entertainment, in association with Nelvana Enterprises, is releasing two Harry and His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs DVDs on January 15 in its native land. The series currently airs on Treehouse and Teletoon in Canada, and Super RTL in Germany, Five’s Milkshake in the UK and Nick Jr. in Australia.
