Millburn, New Jersey-based Briarpatch is prepping its first line of Fancy Nancy puzzle and card games for retail distribution in spring 2008.
Based on the bestselling books by Jane O’Connor about a little girl who adores all things pink and sparkly, the new products include Fancy Nancy Posh Bedroom board games (US$19.99 each) for kids ages five and up and The Fancy Nancy Puzzle Assortment that features two 100-piece puzzles. Both puzzles sport a special glitter coating, and will retail for US$5.99. Additionally, The Fancy Nancy Card Game (US$6.99) accommodates three to six players, and revolves around teaching manners and decorum.
Licensing agent United Media also appointed Jakks Pacific as master toy licensee for the property earlier this year. The toyco should be rolling out product for girls ages four to seven to US retailers this spring.
