In an effort to serve as a one-stop shop for the development and marketing of new kids IP, New York-based media-buying and TV distribution firm Beacon Media has formed a joint-venture with Entertainment Licensing Associates and animation production house InVision Entertainment.

The venture is aiming to acquire, develop, produce, distribute and license select kids properties on a global basis, and is planning to announce its first slate of IP in mid-January.

Former principle of the Summit Media Group Sheldon Hirsch is heading up Beacon Media and has worked with ELA and InVision co-owner Daniel Kletzky on several projects over the past 15 years, including Capcom’s Mega Man.
