Toei Animation’s popular animated series Digimon Data Squad launched on RTL2 in Germany on Friday.
Digimon Data Squad marks the fifth season for Toei Animation’s toon property Digimon. The series has sold around the globe with licensing deals in more than 40 countries, including in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
Toei is currently looking to develop a marketing licensing program for the fifth instalment of the series. To date, the latest outing has generated US$72 million in merchandising sales in its native Japan.
