Karen Johnston has been appointed to the role of programming director, global networks Asia, an international division of NBC Universal.
In this newly created position, Johnston will play a key role in the company’s strategy to launch channels across Asia in the next four to six months. She will be responsible for managing the programming requirements and functions of the channels, and support the ongoing formation of strategic partnerships and alliances across the region.
Prior to taking the new post, Johnston was VP of programming at Star World, a division of Hong Kong-based Star Group Limited.
