L.A.-based Studio 4 Networks has named Gigi L. Johnson SVP and GM of Studio 4 Kids and Studio 4 Learning.

As GM of Studio 4 Kids, one of three branded programming offering available under the Studio 4 Networks banner, Johnson will direct business development and partnerships in marketing, distribution and content acquisition. Studio 4 Kids programming consists largely of family-friendly educational programming, providing an environment for parents to discover and for children to learn.

Johnson will report to the CEO while also serving as general manager of Studio 4 Learning. This subsidiary is a VOD and soon-to-be-launched internet network that provides educational videos to students from middle school to college.

Prior to joining Studio 4 Networks, Johnson was president of Maremel Media, a producer/distributor of learning and entertainment content for kids and tweens, and prior to that had a consulting firm focused on corporate development and designing strategies for digital media companies.
