Thomas & Friends is staying on track in Europe as HIT Entertainment has renewed and extended its master toy deal with Tomy for the property in the territory.
The new deal will see Tomy transition the Motor Road and Rail track system to a brand- new play system called Trackmaster due to launch in late 2008.
Tomy has licensed Thomas & Friends for almost 12 years and continues to drive unique product innovation across the preschool category. In 2005, Tomy launched the Steam Along Thomas Set and the Thomas Aquadraw.
Thomas & Friends continues its year of double-digit growth in the UK from a bang-up start in the first half of 2007, with new entertainment featuring Pierce Brosnan as the voice of the narrator in the works.
