People moves: Classic Media appoints new VP

Entertainment Rights-owned Classic Media, based in New York, has appointed former United Media executive director of licensing Karyn Schneider to the position of VP of licensing for its North American operations.

Entertainment Rights-owned Classic Media, based in New York, has appointed former United Media executive director of licensing Karyn Schneider to the position of VP of licensing for its North American operations.

Schneider brings more than 15 years of experience in sales and brand licensing to the company, where she will oversee consumer products for the combined Classic Media/Entertainment Rights portfolio that includes Where’s Waldo?, Casper the Friendly Ghost, George of the Jungle and Rupert Bear.

Charged with building out the New York-based team, Schneider will also support existing relationships with current licensees such as Braintoys Limited, American Greetings and Dark Horse Comics.
