Netherlands-based licensing and distribution firm Telescreen has inked a strategic partnership with WMG Beheer, a holding company that also includes CNR Entertainment and music label Roadrunner Records.

The two companies will be cooperating on developing and producing new kids toons. Western Macaroni, an anime-style western fairytale currently in development, and preschool series Frog & Friends are the first two joint projects.

A fall 2008 delivery is planned for Frog & Friends, and Telescreen is on the hunt for merchandising, home video, publishing and TV broadcasting partners for the 26 x seven-minute 2-D series based on the award-winning children’s books of Max Velthuijs.
