HIT Entertainment has sealed deals with two broadcast partners in the UK for preschool property Fireman Sam. Five and Cartoonito have licensed a mix of new and existing Fireman Sam programming that should start airing in Spring 2008.

The first five series and a 20-minute special of Fireman Sam are joining Five’s popular Milkshake block, while Turner Broadcasting’s Cartoonito has licensed three series, including the two new hi-def CGI versions of the faithful fireman.

Cartoonito launched as a full preschool channel on Sky 619 earlier this year, having first appeared as a successful block on Cartoon Network Too.
