Disney starts on-demand service on mio TV in Singapore

The Disney-ABC International Television (Asia Pacific) is launching a subscription VOD movie service on mio TV, the digital pay-TV channel operated by Singapore Telecommunications.

The Disney-ABC International Television (Asia Pacific) is launching a subscription VOD movie service on mio TV, the digital pay-TV channel operated by Singapore Telecommunications.

Taking the name, The Film Factory, Disney’s Disney’s first subscription video-on-demand service in the region launched earlier this month and subscribers will be able to select titles from a library of titles from Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Touchstone Pictures, and Miramax. The Film Factory is offering a selection of between 15 and 28 movies for a US$8.71 a month, and subscribers can watch the movies whenever they want, as many times as they want throughout the month.
