Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has tapped Malibu, California’s Jakks Pacific as the master toy licensee for newly relaunched virtual community Neopets. Plush, based on the host of Neopia’s inhabitants, will drive the product range, while action figures and accessories, playsets, Plug It In & Play TV games, interactive toys, vehicles, youth electronics, water toys, and craft & activity toys will round out the line.

The plush toys will tie into a new multiplayer gaming and collecting experience called Neopets Key Quest, in which the stuffed toys will contain codes that allow kids to unlock virtual extensions of the playthings.

Action figures and playsets will get the jump on the plush line, hitting US retail later this fall. Key Quest plush should debut on shelves in spring 2008.
