· Given the tumultous summer just faced by the toy industry, online toy retailer eToys.com has launched a Safety Center at www.etoys.com/safety, which serves as an info hub on toy safety for parents, grandparents and guardians. The site will feature general safety tips and specific information organized by toy type and age.

· 24/7 US preschool net PBS Kids Sprout is launching two new original morning blocks in addition to a new season of The Good Night Show on Wednesday, September 26. Musical Mornings will air every weekday morning from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., while The Sunny Side Up Show takes over from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

· Nickelodeon's Drake Bell will help launch Mattel's new I Can Play Guitar system with a performance at Toys 'R' Us Times Square on October 8 at 12 p.m. The event will kick off the consumer campaign for the toyco's new videogame/learn to play guitar platform.
